Kathryn B. Freeland is founder and former chief executive officer of RGII Technologies, Inc., an information technology, systems integration and engineering solutions company that served nine presidential cabinet agencies of the federal government. During her tenure as CEO, RGII more than tripled in size, with revenue growing 4,800% over an 11-year period. Freeland successfully built and sold RGII to Computer Horizons Corp. in 2003 and retired from the venture in 2006.
Freeland serves as the founder and chief executive officer of the business consulting firm Freeland & Associates, LLC. She has also served on the boards of several local, regional, and national organizations, including the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation, Black Women in Sisterhood for Action (BISA), the University of Maryland Baltimore County, Baltimore Washington Medical Center (BWMC), and the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland.
Named Black Enterprise Magazine Emerging Company of the Year, a Top Technology Entrepreneur by Black Engineers of America, a Maryland Top 100 Woman, and a TechnoRising Star, among many other honors, Freeland is a frequent speaker on the topic of entrepreneurship at leading U.S. colleges and universities.
